El proyecto de restauración de Die Balearen comportó la reconstrucción gráfica de las cubiertas, con sus escudos, los ornamentos y la tipografía. Los libros estaban en muy mal estado, no podía pensarse en escanear y retocar la imagen, sino en reconstruirla de forma vectorial.

Con los gráficos vectoriales resueltos se realizaron los grabados para proceder al dorado de las cubiertas.

The restoration project the Die Balearen involved graphic reconstruction of the covers, with shields, ornaments and typography. The books were in very poor condition and could not think of scanning and image retouching, but rebuilt in vector form.

With vector graphics were made engravings to proceed with the gold of covers.
